ConceptDraw WebWave is an application for creating layout diagrams, flowcharts, and visualizations. Aimed at Web professionals, it has a number of features that allow designers and developers to flow, structure, prototype, and wireframe Web sites and layouts.

WebWave is a comprehensive graphing and charting program, allowing the creation of a number of different diagram types, and with a wide range of symbol sets. For Web prototyping, there are symbols representing various Web elements and sets of user interface elements such as form elements, which are provided in the standard OS appearance for both Mac and Windows. The application itself is currently Windows only, though a Mac version is planned.

The most obvious use of WebWave is to create schematic diagrams of Web sites, showing the tree-structure of pages and the links between them. There are a number of symbols provided, such as a file download, or an email link. However, there’s no way of creating a real, interactive framework of the site from this structure diagram.
Included are some site-scanning tools, which can produce diagrams of existing Web sites from a URL, by following links. However, this only really works with simple, static HTML pages – any dynamic code, embedded pages, or JavaScript results in a very confusing layout diagram.
