Parasol Island's boys' choir singing Mad World get a million hits in two weeks

To promote the International Children’s Fund charity on the UN's Universal Children's Day on November 20, Berlin- and Dusseldorf-based production company Parasol Island created a moving spot based around a choral version of Tears For Fears' Mad World (though the song's probably better known these days for the Gary Jules version: a UK Christmas No. 1 single and soundtrack to a Gears of War ad that started a trend for poignant computer game spots).

The Lost Choir – Mad World (above) received over one million hits on YouTube in 14 days – which Parasol says was without marketing or any press coverage. The boys' choir, Wuppertaler Kurrende, sang Mad World as a dedication to the lost children.

The spot was created at Grey Düsseldorf, and directed by Tim Neiser.
