The 10th annual FCPUG Las Vegas SuperMeet takes place at Bally¹s Hotel and Casino Event Center on Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Agenda for FIRST HALF of the show.

Avid will present Actor/Director Kevin Smith who will talk about editing hisnew movie "Red State" with the Media Composer. As most of you know Kevin edits his movies using MC. He is currently on a 19 city promotional tourraising funds for the official release of Red State in Oct. 2011. Avid¹s Matt Fuery will moderate.

Canon will be on stage and will be joined by London based DP and Director,Philip Bloom. It is expected they will present on DSLRs and the new XF305 and XF300 professional pro-spec video cameras. Descriptive paragraph will beposted soon.

Colorist Alexis Van Hurkman will discuss how, in the last six months,DaVinci Resolve has changed his color correction practice. In the process he'll show off a few of his favorite Resolve workflow and color correctionfeatures in examples from projects he's worked on this last year, which includes the television pilot ŒNuclear Family¹ and the feature 'Cargo,' and give insight based on years of experience grading programs that have appeared on The History Channel, the BBC, and Discovery Channel networks.

Looking to add depth to your creative toolset?  3D- enabled tools and workflows in finishing mean a lot more than just stereoscopic 3D. Autodesk¹s Marc Hamaker will present a fun and informative presentation using Autodesk Smoke 2012 to show how adding realistic lighting effects, importing live animation from 3D applications and - of course - Stereo 3D can help you tell better stories in X, Y and Z.

In addition there will be the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring 35 software and hardware developers showing off their solutions.
