Designers turn sound into visuals for Echoic rebrand

Watch five designers' animations based around the concept of the 'movement of sound'.

As part of a company rebrand, sound design specialists Echoic have commissioned five leading motion designers to create a series of idents that interpret the company's logo.

Tim Borgmann, Make Make Studio, Vector Meldrew, Nahuel Salcedo, ROARK were the five designers commissioned to each produce a 'Sound in Motion' ident  for Echoic. The designers were all given the same brief based on the idea of sound and how it can be visualised.

From there, the designers were given creative freedom, with the only requirement for the ident the inclusion of Echoic's new logo, which was designed by I See Heroes' Damon Charles.

Echoic co-founder and creative director Tom Gilbert said: "There is so much beauty in nature and this inspires creativity in all forms. We love to use natural sounds in our compositions, in fact the word Echoic literally means 'to imitate natural sound', so we wanted both the idents and our new brand as a whole, to be demonstrative of that."
