Adobe adds packaging feature to Illustrator CS6, but only for Creative Cloud subscribers

Adobe has followed through on its promise to add additional features to Creative Suite 6 for subscribers to its Creative Cloud apps-and-services bundle.

Launching "soon", an update to Illustrator CS6 will allow artists and designers to package file assets for a project in a similar way to the long-established Package feature in InDesign.

Packaging brings together linked images and fonts – though not some East Asian fonts in this first update – and creates a report listing exactly what's included.
