Design boutique Stereohype has announced the winners of its annual badge-design competition. Now in its fifth year, the competition offers creatives the chance to see their artworks made into badges and sold in the boutique.
This year's Stereohype competition saw 344 entries, from 136 studios, individuals and collectives. 32 judges accepted the task of sifting through the entries, including our own Art editor Johann Chan.
In a statement, Stereohype said: "The 32 judges had to select their three favourite single badges and three favourite sets of three. Between the judges – and let's not forget that we were only after a total of 20 potentially winning designs – a whopping 166 designs did score points! But in the end it was once again the usual head to head race and
every single vote counted. Hopefully we did not have any ties in the top positions and the winners could be allocated without flipping coins."
The winners of this year's competition are from Canada, Chile, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, and Venezuela. First prize went to Sebastian Stamm aka The Stamm; for the full list of winners and runners-up visit the Stereohype website.
