Sony has released the SDM-S205 20-inch LCD display. The monitor features a 1,600-x-1,200 native resolution, and offers a high level of brightness and contrast – plus a fast response time – that makes it ideal for video editors and graphic designers, according to the company.

border=0 />
The monitor is available in two versions. The S205K adds Pivot software support - allowing the monitor to be used vertically at 1,200-x-1,600 resolution – and USB-based KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) switching technology to the base S205F model. This allows control of two computers from a single USB-based keyboard and mouse. The monitor features two USB inputs. When the input button is pressed, it switches USB as well as from DVI to VGA (or vice-versa). It can also be used for other USB devices such as dongles.

The S205 has two VGA and one DVI-D input, allowing up to three computers to be switched between.

UK pricing has yet to be announced.
