In-sync, the maker of digital-video editing package Speed Razor, is to quit the UK. The move sees the closure of the UK office, and a "centralization of software distribution to the United States," according to in-sync president Jamie Carr. Carr blames the economic downturn for the closure, saying the move was essential "following the softening of the global technology market and the increasing likelihood of an extended period of slowed economic growth". In-sync insists that Speed Razor development wouldn't be affected, and that service and support would continue.
