Get your work on the walls of the Queen of Hoxton

Shoreditch bar The Queen of Hoxton is asking artists from all disciplines to help them transform the venue into a giant canvas and showcase for the creative community. From the forty-foot external wall, to a photographic exhibition on the stairwell and washroom galleries, the owners want the venue to be transformed by the best creative talents in the UK.

In the venue's first year since opening, talent such as Pure Evil, i-Lib and Remi Rough decorated the walls and Washroom Galleries. The commissions, marking the bar’s birthday celebrations, will remain in 16 different locations in the venue for up to a year.

The chosen artists will be name checked in all the birthday celebrations and have a monthly bar tab of £50 for six months.

The deadline to submit examples of past work and ideas is midnight on February 22. Artists must be able to complete the final commission by early March and the selection process will be overseen by the QoH creative team and Pure Evil. Those interested in applying should email works or ideas to [email protected] with the subject line Paint The Queen.
