Quark has announced a series of free QuarkXPress 8 eSeminars.
Multiple online training sessions will run every month in English, German and French and will focus on how designers can expand their skills to create interactive communications with Flash (SWF) in QuarkXPress 8.
The first live sessions start later this month, commencing the week of the 22nd March with an introduction to Flash in QuarkXPress 8. Future subjects will include working with video, creating rotating animations, moving objects and more.
For a full list of dates and topics and to register for the first month of live sessions those interested need to visit Quark’s website. Quark notes that the eSeminars will only open for registration a few weeks before each eSeminar so anyone interested need to check back regularly.
In August 2009, Quark introduced the QuarkXPress 8.1 update, which improves PDF output capabilities and introduces features that make the page layout process even more intuitive and productive insists the company.
QuarkXPress 8.1 also introduced a 'Native Transparency' mode for creating PDFs, which can offer designers faster and more flexible PDF output support and provide greater control over the PDF workflow process.
The mode allows objects to which transparency has been applied within QuarkXPress to remain unflattened in the final PDF output says Quark. QuarkXPress 8.1 also addresses outstanding issues reported by users and introduced improved design features that enable faster and more precise page creation.
