Tomorrow (May 1) sees the launch of Strange Religion, an exhibition featuring the rock posters of Manchester-based illustrator and fine artist Nick Rhodes, aka It's the artist's first solo show.

Nick Rhodes has been creating rock posters since 2000, starting out designing for friends' bands and working up to scoring commissions for acts including Queens of the Stone Age, The Decemberists, Elbow and Ian Brown, among others.

Rhodes specializes in screen-printing, creating limited-edition versions of his band posters; he also has his own screen-printing shop in Manchester.

The show takes place at CUP, Manchester, and runs May 1-28. The launch is part of the four-day Maps Festival, which celebrates the creative potential of Manchester's Northern Quarter.
