DEADLINE APPROACHING: Typographic Horizons

Graphic designers and type experts looking to contribute to UKType's symposium, Typographic Horizons, have until this Friday (July 31) to submit their proposals.

The symposium will take place later this year at the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design.

Submissions can be anything within this theme, from a presentation on history by a typography academic to an exploration of new frontiers in web typography by a digital designer. Presentations will encompass both theoretical talks and practical demonstrations.

The organizers are seeking creatives and experts from across the spectrum, including typography, type design, digital media, printing, publishing and advertising.

To apply for the symposium, send a CV and a 300-word proposal to Caroline Archer ([email protected]) by email or to the following address:

Type, 1st Floor, The Toll House, The Bond, 180-82 Fazeley Street, Birmingham B5 5SE
