Canon has introduced a new model as the flagship of its PowerShot digital camera range. The PowerShot Pro90 IS is a 3.34 mega pixel digital camera with a host of features to suit professional photographers. It combines Canon’s own Image Stabilization technology designed to reduce camera shake with an optical 10x zoom lens, a five-mode pop-up flash and auto-exposure bracketing. Full or semi automatic operation is possible with the PowerShot Pro90 IS’s different AE modes, along with full manual exposure control. The camera also features movie with sound capture and playback capabilities. Using USB technology, downloading images from the PowerShot Pro90 IS is straightforward, and the camera accommodates Compact Flash Type II cards of up to 1GB in capacity, enabling hundreds of images to be taken and stored. Bundles software includes Adobe Photoshop LE, Canon’s PhotoStitch, ZoomBrowser EX / Image Browser, PhotoRecord and RemoteCapture. The Canon PowerShot Pro90 IS is available from the middle of February and costs around £1,099.
