Apple releases free Peter and the Wolf short film through iTunes

Apple's iTunes 12 Days Of Christmas nears its end, having offered a range of free festive treats from the iTunes Store. The promotion, which started on Boxing day, runs until Wednesday 6 January. Each will only be available to download for 24 hours.

Today's free download is a the critically acclaimed Peter and the Wolf short film.

The 30 minute retelling of the classic story, is a Polish-British-Norwegian model animation film released in 2006 set to music by Sergei Prokofiev.

It was written and directed by Suzie Templeton, made in Se-ma-for Studios in Lódz, and has been shown both in cinemas and with live musical accompaniment.

A new recording of Sergei Prokofiev's music was made to accompany the cinema and television release.
