How to Update Adobe CC

Never find yourself left behind with out of date Creative Cloud apps again.

There are two ways to update your Adobe CC apps, whether you own one or more Adobe applications on your desktop.

If you have more than one Adobe Creative Cloud app then the quickest way would be to download the free Adobe Creative Cloud app for Mac or Windows.

Once installed, the app will be a separate running piece of software which usually hovers in the top toolbar of your Mac interface or in the Windows icon tray.

Load the app and you'll see a list of all your Creative Cloud apps (plus others you won't have). Choose the Update All option as shown in blue below.

You will be asked to save all your work and close all running CC software, as below. Do so and see the progress of the update download in the Desktop app.

If you don't have the app or don't wish to download it, another way is to go to your menu bar in any Adobe program you own e.g. Photoshop.

Click on Help and scroll to the end where it says Updates...

A pop-up window will let you download any new updates, or simply inform you whether your app is already up to date.
