Slashdot redesign goes live

Infamous geek-haven Slashdot was dragged brought into the twenty-first century at the end of May with a redesign.

The new site, implemented in CSS, is an evolution of the old Slashdot site making use of sans-serif typography and subtle shading.

Designed by Alex Bendiken, he details it at his own site. He won a laptop computer for his trouble.

The runner-up can be seen at the Slashdot site, along with several other well-received designs.
