This meant ensuring that every aspect of the book was ethically correct and considered. “While printing this book, we were really careful about the materials that we chose, in order to compliment the powerful messages inside,” explains Sodha.

All paper and card stocks were 100 per cent recycled or FSC certified and from renewable forests, while all printing was done locally, by Derby-based printers Subism, to cut down the books’ carbon footprint and help local businesses. They steered clear of glossy finishes, says Sodha, and chose saddle stitching for the binding.

“DAHRA strives to maintain a rawness in the materials we use, as our messages are just that – raw and undiluted – and this adds to the tone of the overall product.”

3 Minutes was released in August and sold a quarter of its copies within 24 hours of its release.
