Art of war

By now, everyone is sure to have seen hundreds of images of the conflict in Lebanon, both photographic and video. Sometimes, however, the more subjective images created by hand give us a better insight into how people feel about war, if not an objective report on what is actually going on.

Mazen Kerba is a Lebanese comic illustrator and composer and has been posting drawings about the war every day on a new blog

Many of the drawings are well outside the traditional comic style with Kerba's monochrome images taking on the look of woodcuts. Recommended.

According to the blog Short Term Memory Loss, run by publisher James Bridle, Kerba will consider publishing a book of the images for charity, but not until the conflict has ended
