Step-by-step example: explore freely the effects created by a digital calligraphic brush and discover the potential and pitfalls of the Photoshop tool.

In Part One I emphasized the importance of the scale and proportions of letters and the way they are written by calligraphers using traditional methods and materials. When you create calligraphy on the computer with Photoshop (or any other graphics software) most of the principles remain the same and some of the techniques can usefully be applied to digital methods.
In the next exercise you can explore freely the effects created by a digital calligraphic brush. By doing so you will discover the potential and pitfalls of the Photoshop tool.
