Motion Blur

Motion Blur is of limited use on its own. The dialog box offers just direction and distance, and the results are very much as you’d expect them to be. See the following example for uses of the Motion Blur filter in combination with other effects.

Using the Motion Blur filter

To get localized “speed lines” use the Layer Via Copy feature in conjunction with the Motion Blur filter.
