One of the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6's highlights is the improved Three-Way Color Corrector.

It now allows for visual colour correction across the board for shadows, midtones and highlights, and you can switch workspaces to maximise the amount of space available to it.

Step 1

One of the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6's highlights is the improved Three-Way Color Corrector.

It now allows for visual colour correction across the board for shadows, midtones and highlights, and you can switch workspaces to maximise the amount of space available to it.

Step 2

Select the video track you want to use the Color Corrector on. In the Project box click on Video Effects, then Color Correction, then double-click on Three-Way Color Corrector.

Click on Window> Workspace> Color Correction to maximise the available space.

Step 3

Click on the Effects Control tab to reveal the three colour wheels and the options.

Double-click on the original source track in the Project window.

Grab the centre point of the Midtone box and drag towards the bit of the edge where it is coloured orange. The nearer it is to the edge, the greater the Balance Magnitude.

Step 4

Click on the arrow next to Highlights to reveal the stats. Drag the centre point of the Highlights control down towards the blue colours. This will add a cyan tinge to the otherwise washed-out sky.

Grab the yellow bar in the middle and move down to increase the Balance Gain.
