Venuezulan illustrator Ramon Nuñez describes his work – and himself – as surreal, fantastic and mysterious.

What's your favourite tool?

The pencil, as everything begins with a pencil and paper. 

What techniques to do you use most and why?

Traditional illustration. I then use Photoshop to touch it up. I’ll finish the colour digitally. 

What kinds of materials do you work with?

Pencil, paper, brushes, cutter, eraser, digital table and a PC. 

Where have you exhibited your work?

My work has been shown at several fairs in Venezuela – I really have fun at these. 

What inspires you?

Any project I find amusing, fresh, uncommon and new.
