Chris King likes making bold, colourful imagery that echoes a strong idea – and, he says, "a silly idea if I can help it."

What's your favourite tool?
My fingers, which I use to smudge pastels marks.
What has your favourite piece you've created?
Disco Pigeon is one of my favourites; it’s one of the few pieces I created at university that had no tutor input.
What kinds of materials do you work with?
Oil pastels on a mount board.
What (if any) computer packages do you use?
Which clients have you worked for, and where have you exhibited your work?
No clients yet, but my work is currently on show at the London Transport Museum.
What inspires you?
Internet humour, and animals (especially the cool ones like the horse, mole and platypus).
