We're awash with faux vintage ads – but this Tens commercial (above) is worth checking out. It was largely shot on VHS – so its creators get points for authenticity – and is for the kind of product you associate with the mid-80s (thick-rimmed sunglasses), so there's a real association too.

The sunglasses have filtered glass, giving an Instagram-like view of the world – or so say its creators. The film shows off the firm's new frame designs – Mason, Bailey, Hunter, Fairline, Cruiser – which cost from £80 each.

The film was directed by Tens founders Kris, Marty and Tom – with Tom having shot fims for the likes of Nike and Red Bull in a past life.
