Canon has announced a new range of 1.33 Megapixel camcorders – the MVX250i, MVX200i and MVX200 - with enhanced features for digital still capture and sharing footage over the Internet. The recently announced PowerShot S1 IS has been claimed by Canon as a hybrid of a compact digital still camera and a DV camcorder. As a digital compact camera it features a 3.2Mp CCD and a 10x optical zoom. As a camcorder it will shoot 30 frames per second at VGA resolution with sound. Due in March, the camera will cost around £408 plus VAT.

The A4 printer, which purports to offer an output of 10ppm (colour) and 14ppm (mono) and a resolution of 4800-x-1200 dpi, will be available from March for around £170 plus VAT.
