The Foundry has announced that Nuke 8 will ship by the end of 2013.

The Foundry has used the IBC video industry trade show in Amsterdam to launch the next version of its Nuke 8 compositing software, which it says is shipping by the end of the year.

New features include improvements to the Dope Sheet timeline (right) that aim to make it easier for users of timeline-based compositing tools such as After Effects to move to Nuke and work as they have done previously. Node properties – and their results – can be viewed here.
