‘Mind-heist’ movie Inception has picked up four gongs at this year’s Visual Effects Society Awards.
The film’s VFX, which includes the stunning Paris Dreamsacpe scene (below), were created by London-based Double Negative.
Inception picked up the main Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual-Effects Driven Feature Motion Picture gong, as well as a VES Visionary Award for director Chistopher Nolan.
The other big winners was animated flick How To Train Your Dragon, which garnered three awards. British winnners included Framestore for the character animation of Dobby (above) in the latest Harry Potter movie, and MPC for Cadbury’s Spots vs Stripes (below) in the animated commercials category.
Stop motion guru Ray Harryhausen was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
