London-based duo Becky & Joe are back with another brilliantly funny but utterly creepy animation in their Don't Hug Me I'm Scared series.

After racking up almost 24 million views on YouTube with the three-year-old original, Becky & Joe have released another instalment of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. After riffing on the concept of creativity, time and love in the first three films respectively, for Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 4 the directing duo are taking on the digital world.

From a simple board game, the films' three central characters are drawn into a the thrall of an increasingly bullying computer that draws them into a nightmarish online world – and then there's the inevitable horrible payoff. And like the prequels, it's all set to a catchy tune.

This episode was funded by Kickstarter - where over £100,000 has been pledged for this and future episodes.

You can watch Don't Hug Me I'm Scared and its two sequels below.

Using a mixture of animation techniques including puppetry, stop-motion and digital, for Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 2 Becky & Joe have brought the familiar characters back to life and introduced a new character called Tony The Talking Clock (above) for the disturbing sequel.

This episode takes on love. It begins innocently enough – well as innocent as you can get with a picnic comprised of raw chicken, before going all unicorn and flowers – and finishing up with a horrible payoff. And like the prequels, it's all set to a catchy tune.

The duo have previously made music videos for Tame Impala and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and have also designed window displays for Selfridges.
