Cinesite's first animated short has proved to be an internet success, racking up almost 4 million hits on YouTube in less than two weeks. To celebrate, the VFX company has shared an insightful 'Making Of' video (above) to show how Beans was created.
The video breaks down Cinesite's animation process, from animation tests and early monster concepts to muscle rigs (below), lighting and particle simulation.
Beans is a hilarious mock advert-style film that Cinesite created to showcase its creature animation skills. Previously, the company has worked on movies including World War Z, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Skyfall, and has been creating visual effects for upcoming releases including 300: Rise of an Empire and Robocop while creating Beans.
