When they were Macromedia products, much was made about outputting media from Flash and Fireworks to mobile devices such as phones and PDAs. With Creative Suite 3, Adobe has added output tools across the Suite -- in the form of the enhanced (and renamed) Save For Web and Devices output dialog in Illustrator and Photoshop -- and the totally new Device Central application to see how your work will look on many different types of devices.
Device Central serves three core functions. It provides access to information about phones and PDAs, allowing you to see resolution and player particulars for wallpaper, videos and screensaver for each target device – including as a chart against each other.
Flash Professional, Illustrator or Photoshop. However, the round-trip workflow backward and forwards wasn’t working properly on our test version.
