Digital Anarchy releases free update to ToonIt Photoshop plug-in

Wednesday 13 Jan 2010 - 09:48

Digital Anarchy has released a free update to its ToonIt! Photo plug-in for Photoshop and Aperture. ToonIt! 2.5 creates cartoon-like images from photographs.

The feature-packed 2.5 update expands ToonIt!’s cartoon outline effect with three new styles: Woodcut Outlines, Conte Outlines and Scratchboard Outlines. A new option called Supersmart Blur has been added for more stylization of the cartoon color fields.

Digital Anarchy says that ToonIt 2.5 has an improved interface with its controls rearranged into more intuitive groups. Minor UI elements for workflow improvement have also been added.

ToonIt! Photo for Photoshop normally costs $159 (around £99), though it will be on sale for $99 (£60) until February 7. ToonIt! runs in Photoshop 7.0–CS4 and Elements 5.0–8.0. The plugin is also available for Aperture 2.0 and higher.
