Addictive TV remixes Slumdog Millionaire

Monday 22 Dec 2008 - 10:56

Impressed by the film-remixing and mash-up exploits of Addictive TV, from the first ever Hollywood approved film remix (Take the Lead, 2006) to Samuel L Jackson’s cult hit Snakes on a Plane, the folks at Pathé recently approached the London based creative duo Addictive TV with an offer to create a remix for the Oscar-tipped Slumdog Millionaire, the new film from Trainspotting and 28 Days Later director Danny Boyle.

"It’s great Pathé are taking a lead in the independent film sector like this, and sharing our vision of film remixing," says Addictive TV front man Graham Daniels. "With our style of work, Slumdog Millionaire is an amazing film to play with, it’s so cinematic and evocative in both sound and picture, it's really colourful and vibrant, and with Danny Boyle known for his cutting edge approach to music and film, making this kind of remix for his movie seems like a natural fit."

Addictive TV have been creating remixes of movies for an audience hungry to consume something different. As David Knight, editor of music industry magazine Promo wrote last month "audio-visual pioneers Addictive TV have created virtually a whole new genre of promo: the movie remix".

The video remix can be watched here.
