The School of Visual Arts in New York City has announced the inaugural Out of Hand International Festival, which celebrates creativity and innovative digital content for mobile phones and other handheld devices.
The festival is currently inviting submissions for the first-ever Out of Hand awards, which will be presented at a ceremony in New York next March. The awards are open to student artists, designers, filmmakers and creatives who are working for handheld digital platforms.
A cash prize and other goodies are up for grabs, and the festival also offers aspiring creatives the chance to show their work on an international stage. All entries are also displayed on the festival's Web site, where the public can watch and rate them.
