The awards are open to amateur and pro developers alike – the only stipulation is that submissions are not from previous professional commissions.
The deadline for entries is September 15. A panel of judges will then select a 10-game shortlist to be posted on the E4 Web site at www.e4.com/joystick, for public voting.
The overall winner will receive a £5,000 commission from E4.com and the coveted inaugural E4.com Grand Master Flash Award at the Golden Joystick Awards in October. In its 26th year, the Golden Joystick Awards are the people’s gaming awards voted for exclusively by gamers.

Jody Smith of E4.com, said “The games we commission for e4.com always go down a storm, so we thought we'd turn the tables and celebrate the genius of game-making talent in agencies by giving them a place to showcase their unbranded games, as well as some killer prizes.”
The new Grand Master Flash Award category is a new talent initiative as part of the broadcaster’s ‘Generation Next’ month in August.
