The StolenSpace gallery has teamed up with Penguin Books on Never Judge?, an exhibition where artists and illustrators put a new spin on classic book jacket designs. The show features the work of artists including Alex Trochut, Andy Council, Anthony Burril, EINE, Hellovon, Ian Stevenson, Jon Burgerman, Shepard Fairey, Kid Acne, Pete Fowler, Tara McPherson and more.
The artists were invited to create a book cover for a novel of their choice, a book that has inspired them, a book that has had a profound impact on them or a book that they remember fondly as a child ... all that the organisers asked was that they create their original artwork to the traditional format and size of a Penguin book 198mm (h) x 129mm (w).
George Orwell's 1984 by Shepard Fairey
Herman Hesse's SteppenWolf by Anthony Lister
Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Under Pressure Art
StolenSpace is also producing limited edition prints of a selection of the artwork. The show runs until December 19.
