Sky is releasing 10 limited-edition Sky+HD boxes featuring artwork from fashion designers including Matthew Williamson, Agent Provocateur, Celia Birtwell and Farrow & Ball. Sky says they'll be available in time for Christmas.
A few are a little too blinged out for our tastes but we could easily see womenswear designer Roksanda Illincic's traditional fashion illustration, snowboard artist (and ex-SMart TV presenter) Jay Jay Burridge's dinosaur cuts chart or Agent Provocateur's tasteful sauciness fitting into the Digital Arts office (or indeed our homes).
Matthew Williamson's artwork is based on a print from his Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
"The collection had a slight Japanese influence, notable here in the cut out areas of the Tokyo skyline visible within the distorted floral motifs," he says. "I wanted the edges to appear neon and light-phased and have recoloured my original print in electric blue with a synthetic mint green contrast to emphasise this effect of blurred illumination."
Below is a shot of the full set of Sky+HD boxes, plus a few we've picked out as favourites.

The boxes are available to pre-order via sky.com/designerboxes for £49 for existing Sky customers upgrading to the HD pack or £149 for new customers joining with the HD pack. If you're already a Sky+HD customer, you'll need to shell out £149 for one of the new boxes.
Sky notes that more than 8.3 million homes now have Sky+, which it says is more than those with cats (5.7 million) dogs (5.8 million) and even children (7.7 million).
