Strata 3D CX live-links to Photoshop
Strata has announced that Strata 3D CX is shipping. The new upgrade to the company's design, illustration and animation tool offers the ability to live-link with Photoshop files, automatically making changes to the Strata document when you modify the Photoshop file, as well as compatibility with native Illustrator CS, PDF and EPS files, which can be expanded to 3D geometry within a Strata document.

Alias releases SketchBook Pro for Mac
Maya maker Alias has announced that its SketchBook Pro software is now available for Mac OS X. SketchBook Pro is a sketching and annotation software application that works with pen tablets. A trial version is available for download; a license costs $179 (around £100). The software is also available on CD-ROM for $199 (£110).

Purgatory Design has updated their Mac-only drawing and illustration application Intaglio to version 2.0. The new edition adds several features, including conversion of PDF images to native Intaglio graphics for editing, the ability to associate graphics with word processor-like styles for document-wide changes, image effects such as 3D lighting and more.

Agfa releases 20 fonts to Fonts.com
Agfa Monotype announced on Tuesday that they've released 20 exclusive fonts and font volumes on Fonts.com. All of them are from the new Laurentian, Fairbank, and Mosquito Formal typeface families.
