Markzware has updated its PageZephyr software to version 2.11. The tool is a desktop search and content extraction engine for InDesign and QuarkXpress for the Mac.
PageZephyr exports text from InDesign, QuarkXPress and Publisher into formats ready for posting online. PageZephyr 2.11 supports InDesign CS5 plus extracts and exports text to WordPress blogs, Scribd, Google Docs, and Box.net accounts.
Markzware says that PageZephyr serves several markets, including advertising, marketing, e-discovery, research, intelligence and corporate branding.
PageZephyr searches documents within InDesign, Publisher and QuarkXPress and extracts and finds content within specific areas across file types. PageZephyr is a semi-automatic content creator, providing ability to quickly merge, edit and combine content. This search engine finds content in multiple documents in different formats and highlights search criteria. Customize discovered text by editing font styles, size, colors, etc., to optimize for output options.
DTP applications are not required for PageZephyr to function. PageZephyr displays found text with option to maintain font, size and color. PageZephyr empowers users to open, edit and convert content to text or rich text format.
PageZephyr indexes InDesign CS-CS5, QuarkXPress 6-8, and Publisher 2002-2010. It costs US$99 (arouns £60), and runs on Mac OS X 10.5.8 and higher.
