Red Giant has released Magic Bullet PhotoLooks 2 – the long-awaited update to Magic Bullet PhotoLooks 1.5. Features added to the Looks tool for changing the colour look of video footage have now been added to the photography tool, which runs as a standalone application as well as plug-ins for Photoshop, Lightroom and Aperture.

Magic Bullet PhotoLooks 2 feature a reorganized interface. The workspace is cleaner and more intuitive, says Red Giant, keeping the heart of PhotoLooks 1 while making it easier to create new looks.

New advanced colour-correction tools include 3-Way Wheels (above), Pop and Ranged HSL. There are also four new scopes for Memory Colors, Skin Overlay, Hue/Saturation and Hue/Lightness (below).

Red Giant says that cosmetic cleanup is now easy with the Cosmo tool (below) for adjusting skin tones and blemishes.

You can share Looks across apps: from your video editor to your photo processing software.

Magic Bullet Photo Looks 2 costs $199 (around £125). Upgrades cost $49 (£30). Magic Bullet Suite owners get it for free.
