Buffalo announced a comprehensive refresh of its storage line-up at CeBIT this week, including two brand-new TeraStation Pro NAS models that offer capacities of up to 16 terabytes (TB).
The TeraStation Pro 8 model, equipped with eight bays, will be available in 8 and 16TB flavours; a Buffalo representative told us that these will be available in a few weeks' time and will cost 1,089 euros and 1,289 euros respectively.
The six-bay TeraStation Pro 8 is even newer, and nobody on the Buffalo stand was willing to venture a launch price. Nonetheless, product managers reckoned it would launch at a similar time to the TeraStation Pro 8.
Buffalo was also showing off a new MiniStation USB 3.0 portable high drive. Available in 500GB and 1TB capacities, the MiniStation costs 79 and 129 euros respectively.
The MiniStation USB 3.0 has one USB 3.0 port and a SATA interface, and supports both Windows and Mac environments. It's available in black and white.
