Corbis, the online stock company owned by Microsoft, has announced a deal to become the exclusive distributor of digital Warhol art.

Over 500 examples of Andy Warhol’s iconic art work will be available from Corbis, and additional work can be digitised on request.

When Warhol died in 1987 he stipulated that his entire estate should be used to fund the advancement of the visual arts, and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the visual arts was set up.

Funds made from the licensed use and sale of Warhol’s work are used to give financial grants to arts organisations.
