Wacom has announced that the next version of its Intuos range of tablets will be available from September 8 in the UK. The Intuos3 range features new function keys and greater precision.

Featuring a new design, the range is available in three sizes -- A6, A5 and A4. The function buttons, known as ExpressKeys, are two four-button keypads (one keypad on the A6 version) which are pre-configured with frequently used modifier keys such as CTRL, ALT, SHIFT and space.

border=0 /></div> </p> <p> The tablets also feature a TouchStrip which acts like scroll bar with presets to allow zooming and scrolling in various applications, according to Wacom. Both the ExpressKeys and the TouchStrip are customisable for different applications. </p> <p> The Intuos3 range doubles the resolution of the Intuos2 range to 5,080dpi, delivering more precision, the company claims. The range also includes 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity in the pen tip and eraser of the Intuos3 Pen and Airbrush. </p> <p> The new Grip Pen now has changeable pen nibs, and Wacom claims that it has an improved ergonomic design.
