Vue d'Esprit developer E-on Software has announced Vue 4 Professional, a new version of its 3D scenery creation application for Windows and Mac OS X aimed specifically at designers and digital video production houses. The software provides the ability to generate entire natural 3D scenes or just individual objects; the content can be exported to high-end 3D applications like Maya, Cinema 4D and other software. It also features a plant editor that lets users modify existing plant models or create new ones. You can synchronize cameras and lights with other 3D applications. Vue 4 Professional supports compositing information used by other 3D applications, including all G-Buffer channels, RLA and RPF file format, uses a new OpenGL-based pre-rendering engine for previewing, sports 24 enhancements to camera effects, lighting, shadows, depth of field and more. What's more, Vue 4 Professional features RenderCow, a network rendering technology that enables multiple computers to share the load when rendering single pictures or complete animations. Vue 4 Professional is expected to ship at Apple Expo 2003 in Paris, France later this month. The software will retail for $599 (around £400). There will be an an introductory offer priced at $499 (£330) and a $299 (£190) crossgrade price will be available for Vue d'Esprit 4 users.
