UNKLE / MO WAX/ James Lavelle
The Hong Kong edition of Daydreaming is curated by UNKLE's James Lavelle and the Hong Kong based artist Simon Birch, following the successful launch of Daydreaming at Haunch of Venison in August 2010.
Daydreaming examines the relationship between art and music, and where the two converge. This edition will also explore the relationship between the West and the East, with artists such as Turner Prize nominated Nathan Coley exhibited alongside emerging Chinese artists such as Li Wei. There will be new work from British design duo Clarke & Reilly, with a sound installation featuring new music from UNKLE, and a video installation by Doug Foster, plus more artists still to be confirmed.
Other highlights include
-Chinese artist and graphic designer Prodip Leung will be exhibiting new work
- Cassette Playa- this fashion designer will be presenting a digital photobooth, with users creating a short 30 second video clip, choosing graphics to overlay the video- this interactive installation will feature visuals and sound generated by the user.
- 3D- the Massive Attack founding member, whose graphic designs will be on show at Hong Kong, focusing on his previous collaborations with UNKLE.
