FujiFilm has announced the release of two new compact point-&-shoot digital cameras: the FinePix A330, the FinePix A340. The only significant difference between the two models is their resolution, with the former offering a 3Mp CCD, where the later offers a 4Mp CCD.
Both lenses offer a 3x optical zoom, equivalent to 38 - 114mm in 35mm format, with a macro function with a minimum focal length of 10cm. The cameras include movie recording capability up to 60 seconds (320 x 240 pixels) at 10 frames per second and have a video out for connection to a TV.
The cameras also have a self-timer, a USB digital interface and a 1.5” LCD display. The cameras are PictBridge compatible, for direct PC-free printing and are also xD-Picture Card compatible.
The A330 will become available in the UK in March, with the A340 following in April, FujiFilm claim. Pricing details have not yet been announced.
