Electric Rain has added a MacOS version of its Swift 3D package. The application allows users to create vector-based 3D content for use on the Web within Flash animations. The Windows version was released in April. 3D models can either be modelled within Swift 3D from primitives or font – or imported from 3D Studio Max. The can also be built from imported Illustrator or EPS files. Swift 3D includes tools for extrusion, rotation, colouring and animation of models. The application also includes pre-built drag-&-drop animations with full keyframability. Finished animations can be exported in a number of vector formats as outlines, meshes, flat shaded and gradient shaded animations. Swift 3D 1.0 for the Mac costs $139. It can be purchased and downloaded from Electric Rain’s Web site.
