Colour Confidence has updated its monitor calibration devices, claiming enhanced accuracy and ease of use in the Spyder2 and Spyder2Pro.
</p>
<p>
The company claims that Spyder2 is now easier to attach to CRT and LCD monitors, and new sensors give five times more sensitivity during calibration.
</p>
<p>
An improved filter system ensures uniformity of colour across different monitors and a new light baffle gives more precise LCD characterization.
</p>
<p>
A new wizard function takes the user through the calibration process step-by-step. Colour Confidence also claims that new software algorithms give more precise grey balancing.
</p>
<p>
As well as the standard calibration software, Spyder2Pro Studio comes with Colorvision DoctorPro, Pantone Colorist and nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 Standard.
</p>
<p>
Spyder2 will be available during October for £129.95 plus VAT. Spyder2Pro will cost £199.95 plus VAT.
