3Dconnexion has announced that its SpaceNavigator device now supports Adobe's Photoshop CS3, including Photoshop CS3 Extended. The device delivers 3D navigation and control, enabling creative professionals working with 3D objects in Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate 3D objects.
The SpaceNavigator is used as a companion to the mouse and is held in the free hand. Users apply very slight movements to the device’s controller cap to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate 3D objects. The SpaceNavigator complements the preview of 3D models in Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended and artists creating texture maps will have effortless navigation between 2D and 3D imagery.
In addition to controlling 3D objects in Photoshop CS3 Extended, the SpaceNavigator device pans and zooms traditional 2D images in both Adobe Photoshop CS2 and CS3.
The SpaceNavigator costs £69 plus VAT for the SE (standard edition) version, which allows use on commercial projects. The SpaceNavigator PE (personal edition) costs £39 (including VAT), which can be used on non-commercial projects only.
The SpaceNavigator device will support Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended and Adobe Photoshop CS2 on Mac OS X 10.4 and Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
