Nothing Real has released the beta of version 2.4 of its Shake high-end compositing software that runs on standard Windows and Linux systems.
Version 2.4 adds a vector-based procedural paint system that is fully integrated into the compositing window, according to Nothing Real, and an advanced colour correction node. Also appearing is a new multi-shape rotoscoping node with non-uniform blurring capabilities and a shape hierachy structure and many workflow improvements such as automatic mask creation, colour-coding of nodes and an improved undo/redo system.
A new interface has been made available that is designed to boost integration with the company's fortchcoming Tremor network workflow system. However, users can still use the traditional Shake interface if they wish.
