Stock image company Tony Stone Images has announced that it is changing its name to Stone. The move has been seen as an attempt by the company to quantify and fix its image in the context of the many other stock libraries owned by Getty Images (which includes Photodisc). The change of name, which includes a sans serif 'o' in the centre of Stone, is an attempt to focus on the company's longevity and experience - as Tony Stone Images was one of the first stock libraries to appear on the market. The creation of the Stone brand also coincides with the release of a new catalogue of images, Quest. The collection is based around 'man's quest for knowledge' and shows images of the past, present and future of humanity. It is divided into subject sections - including Earth, Origin, Young, Union and Craft. The images are also available from Stone's Web site, which has not changed its name.
